When your wisdom teeth don’t have any room to properly grow they may need to be removed to avoid a variety of problems and complications such as pain, repeated infections of soft tissue, fluid-filled sacs or cysts, and gum disease.

Wisdom teeth removal surgery is a procedure to remove the third set of molars, which typically appear between the ages of 17 and 25.

Although removing a wisdom tooth before the age of 20 is often easier and gives you a speedier recovery time, it doesn’t exclude anyone from the procedure. If an exam and X-rays indicate you have an impacted molar, we will offer a sedative of your preference and proceed to remove the tooth either whole or in pieces.
